Devil in the White City… am I the only person who thinks this book is overrated? Now, I’m not trying to diss you, you know I’ve got nothing but love for the Knox. But didn’t that book get a little trite for you?

How many times did he spring that on us? How many times???
Just one more gripe… the ending. These cops are “hot on the tail” to discover the missing bodies that this guy killed… sure great. But where’s the suspense? This guy is locked up in jail, and these kids are already dead. Where’s the FUCKIN’ rush???

Did you not see the part where I say this is somthing
new
to read? I am currently holding a big piece of paper over the top of my screen so as not to read the rest your comment and ruin the ending of that book. Luckily all I caught was something about a monolith before I stopped myself from reading futher.
Although I do have to say– I’ve seen so many people reading it I rather expect to be let down a bit. Of course, only time will tell.
ahhh… house of leaves is one of my favorites.
we miss you too, by the way! when are you going to come visit us in nyc?
we actually will be in chicago in a few weeks time. october 7-9 is when we will be free to see people (earlier that week is darcy’s sister’s wedding). if you are going to be around it would be lovely to hang out a bit and have dinner or drinks or something.
